The Temple of Eternal Spring is one of Alabaster Dawn’s best-kept secrets — a hidden optional dungeon locked behind a special overworld key called the Fulcrum Mark. The game gives you no map marker, no quest pointer, and only the vaguest hint from an NPC in Lyhamn.
This guide tells you exactly where the Fulcrum Mark is, how to unlock the temple gate, and what you’ll find inside.
What You Need Before You Start
The Eternal Spring temple can’t be accessed until you’ve reached a specific point in the story. Trying to reach it earlier will just leave you standing at a locked gate with no way through.
You need to have completed all main story objectives in Chapter 2, including the Chapter 2 boss fight. After that, return to the town of Lyhamn and head to the Wellspring area. There’s an NPC there standing near the fountain — they’re wearing a blue shawl and are easy to spot. Talk to them and pick up the side quest Unlock the Way to Eternal Spring. This step is essential: without accepting the quest first, the Fulcrum Mark simply won’t appear at its location.
Step 1 — Get to Koro Valley Lakeside
Use the fast travel waypoint to go directly to Koro Valley – Lakeside. If you haven’t unlocked it yet, travel east from Lyhamn across the Grand Passage bridge until Koro Valley loads, then save at the waypoint crystal before continuing.
From the Lakeside waypoint, face south and cross the bridge directly ahead of you. This is a small stone bridge over a shallow stream — not the Grand Passage. Immediately after crossing, turn right, heading west.
Step 2 — Find the Locked Gate
Follow the path along the Lakeside’s western edge after turning right from the bridge. Within about 60 steps you’ll come across a large ornate gate set into a rock wall covered in flowering vines. That’s the entrance to Eternal Spring. The gate won’t respond to any item or combat action — it needs the Fulcrum Mark specifically.

Step 3 — Where to Find the Fulcrum Mark
The Fulcrum Mark is in an area called South Bend — a small sub-region just before the Grand Passage bridge. Here’s the exact route from the locked gate.
- Backtrack east past the Lakeside bridge.
- Continue east along the main Koro Valley road until the Grand Passage bridge comes into view in the distance.
- Before you reach the bridge, look for a forking path on the left, on the north side of the road. It’s marked by a distinctive split tree trunk — hard to miss once you know it’s there.
- Take that fork north into South Bend.
- South Bend is a small hollow ringed by ruined stone walls. At the centre is a stone altar with the Fulcrum Mark sitting on it, glowing faintly blue. Pick it up.
The Fulcrum Mark is a key-shaped artefact roughly the size of Juno’s hand. The altar is unmistakable once you’re in South Bend. If the altar is empty when you arrive, it means you haven’t accepted the side quest in Lyhamn yet — go back and do that first.
Step 4 — Open the Gate
Return to the locked Eternal Spring gate with the Fulcrum Mark in your inventory and interact with it. Juno uses the key automatically, the gate swings open, and the Fulcrum Mark is consumed — it’s a one-use item. The path beyond leads into the temple.
What’s Inside the Temple

The Eternal Spring temple is a multi-room dungeon sitting comfortably between Chapter 2 and Chapter 3 in terms of difficulty. You’ll encounter wave fights with Corrupted Sentinel enemies, three Divine Altars that need to be cleansed using Aether Resonance, puzzle rooms that require switching between elemental weapon types to activate coloured floor seals, a mid-boss called the Verdant Golem (weak to Wind), and a unique final boss encounter.
Temple Rewards
| Reward | Details |
| Radiant Core | Required for upgrading endgame Legendary weapons |
| Gem: Verdant Pulse | +20% Max Life, +10% Wind Damage — strong for Wind builds |
| Blueprint: Eternal Bloom | Unique cosmetic armour piece for Juno |
| Wellspring Completion | Advances the side quest for full Lyhamn settlement rewards |
The Radiant Core is the main reason to tackle this temple before Chapter 3 — it’s one of only two sources for this material in the current Early Access build, and it’s needed for the strongest weapon upgrades available at this stage.
Combat Tips
Bring elemental variety. Several rooms require specific elemental attacks to unseal puzzle doors, and if you only have one weapon type equipped, you’ll be blocked. A solid loadout is your primary weapon plus a Wind element secondary at minimum.
Keep an eye on your Aether Resonance level as you cleanse the three Divine Altars. Each altar you cleanse raises the level, and at higher levels you’ll see environmental debuffs — reduced stamina regen and increased enemy damage. Cleanse them in order and use the resting spots between each one.
The Verdant Golem mid-boss is manageable without Wind, but it has a shield phase where it’s immune to all non-Wind damage for about 20 seconds, and that cycles twice before the fight ends. Without Wind you’re spending a lot of time waiting. It’s worth equipping something Wind-adjacent before you go in.
Early Access Note
The Eternal Spring temple is confirmed content in the current Early Access build. Encounter layouts and rewards may shift before full release — the Radiant Core requirement for endgame upgrades is expected to stick around, but specific Gem rewards could be rebalanced. Check the Alabaster Dawn Steam news tab or the Radical Fish Games Discord for patch notes if anything feels off from this guide after a major update.
