The Super Thunder Shot is a massive upgrade of the standard Thunder Shot in Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. Upgrading to the Super Thunder Shot unlocks superior damage and effects. In this guide, you will learn the location to unlock Super Thunder Shot in Metroid Prime 4.
Super Thunder Shot Location
This guide assumes you already unlocked Thunder Shot. If you haven’t, you only need to pick a thunder chip from Volt Forge and deliver it to Mackenzie.
Super Thunder Shot Location
Travel to the location above and send a thunder shot at the statue to unlock it. A platform will activate, and you will descend into an underground shrine.
Interact with and scan the door to unlock it. Enter the room and scan the two altars indicated below:
Shoot a thunder shot at the second altar once the scanning is complete. All the altars will activate the center platform. Approach the platform and descend to the next basement.
Falling Labyrinth Shrine
Scan the door to enter the shrine. You can now approach the statue to collect the upgrade item.
TIP: Interestingly, there is another location where you can activate the Super Thunder Shot Upgrade. You can also travel to the Rings of Thunder Shrine to unlock the upgrade.
